HOW IS CROSS-DOCKING DIFFERENT FROM STANDARD WAREHOUSING?
Standard warehousing involves storing products for a period of time (days, weeks, or months). Cross-docking is a velocity service where products typically move from inbound to outbound in 24 hours or less, often without ever being put away in a storage rack.
IS MY PRODUCT A GOOD FIT FOR CROSS-DOCKING?
Cross-docking is ideal for pre-sorted, pre-labeled goods that have a known, immediate destination. It’s perfect for high-velocity retail products, JIT manufacturing parts, and consolidated shipments. Cross-docking also helps get you out of a pinch in the event that the final destination is not ready for your materials.
HOW DOES YOUR WMS HANDLE CROSS-DOCKING?
Our WMS tracks the goods from the moment of receipt, associates them with an outbound order, and directs them to the correct outbound dock, all while providing you with full visibility.
WHAT IS FREIGHT REWORK AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Freight rework includes pallet restacking, load rebuilding, container unloading/reloading, and repackaging for damaged or rejected loads. Most rework jobs are completed same-day when dropped off during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM). Call ahead to confirm availability at your nearest facility.
DO YOU HANDLE OVERWEIGHT LOADS OR LOADS REJECTED AT THE WEIGH STATION?
Yes. A number of our facilities, including those in Reno and Indianapolis, accept overweight, shifted, or refused loads for rework during business hours. We can restack, repackage, or redistribute weight to bring your load into compliance.
