Members of Novo Logistics joined hundreds of other volunteers to be part of The Home Depot Foundation’s 2022 gathering for Building Services & Operations; In-Store Environment; Rental, Repair and RLC; and Real Estate & Construction Departments. The event took place in Orlando, Florida and benefited surrounding communities, raising over $5.5 million and supporting the foundation’s mission of creating affordable and accessible housing solutions for veterans, as well as communities impacted by natural disasters.

Outside of a full day physically hammering, sawing, lifting and building, the efforts also supported the foundation’s national nonprofit partner in World Central Kitchen. The foundation was able to make a sizeable donation to help World Central Kitchen prepare meals during the 2022 holiday season.

At the conclusion of this year’s event, The Home Depot Foundation’s Media Coordinator had this to say:

“Your orange-blooded spirit was stronger than ever on project day, as more than 400 volunteers worked tirelessly to serve veterans and disaster victims in Orlando. Together, we gave back to our nation’s veterans by revamping the community areas of the William R. Just Center, giving all who live there a more comfortable place to spend time. We also served victims of Hurricane Ian and future disasters by assembling more than 1,500 disaster relief kits that will supply immediate resources for storm victims in need. Thank you for serving alongside Team Depot and our local nonprofit partners, Aspire Health Partners, Operation Blessing and ToolBank USA to build outdoor furniture and gazebos, install a new patio, paint the cottages and revitalize the property with new landscaping, walkways and more. Your sweat equity made a difference in the lives of hundreds of veterans who rely on the William R. Just Center for housing and support, and we know these improvements will leave a lasting impact on all who come through the facility.”

Before we begin looking forward to next year, let’s see a couple of hard workers stopping to pose for a photo-op. You might know them as Jeff H., Novo Vice President of Operations, and Ryan P., Novo CEO:
