2nd Place Best in Business for Manufacturing & LogisticsNovo Logistics recently grew its existing presence and labor force in the Lexington market by securing a contract with an unnamed world-class U.S. manufacturer. In addition to the additional competitively rated manufacturing jobs, the company also opened a 12,000 square-foot professional building. Out of this space, Novo will conduct administrative duties and launch their Novo Academy, a full-scale training facility for a contingent labor force to learn skills such as forklift safety, as well as earn certifications for higher paying job roles. Novo Academy will have a fully equipped learning lab and a mock warehouse setting to conduct heavy equipment training and ongoing, hands-on education.
“The addition of these South Carolina operations reinforces our approach of focusing on key markets that we deem to be integral in meeting our customers’ needs”, said Ryan Peirce, CEO.
“We now have a much larger footprint and headcount in the Palmetto State and we look forward to continued growth and diversification in this market. We are also very excited about opening a Novo Academy in Lexington, S.C. Our Novo Academy will allow us to offer on-the-job training and everyday resources to our team members to help them to grow both personally and professionally.”
With a recent expansion in the Reno, Nev. area earlier this year, this marks the first significant expansion in capabilities for Novo on the east coast in 2022. With an existing location in South Carolina (South Columbia/Charleston area), Novo offers third party logistics (3PL) solutions such as dedicated warehousing and local transportation. With its new properties in Lexington, Novo will focus primarily on contingent labor, dedicated warehousing, and transportation for partners in need of our innovative support and refined processes. Furthermore, through this Lexington expansion, the company is contracted to provide large-scale manufacturing support and on-plant logistics for a worldwide top tier-manufacturer (one which prefers to go unnamed).
